One of the scari­est aspects of law is get­ting involved in a civil law­suit. Either the party bring­ing the action (the Plain­tiff) or the party brought into the action (Defen­dant) will be sub­jected to a dif­fi­cult and often very emo­tional and costly process.
If there comes a time when our clients face lit­i­ga­tion, we are pre­pared to han­dle the task. With decades of expe­ri­ence, mem­bers of our firm have litigated numer­ous cases, and have han­dled mat­ters at the appel­late level, as well. Under­stand­ing that lit­i­ga­tion is expen­sive and often unpre­dictable, we know that it is the last avenue that a client wants to pur­sue. But when all other options are unavail­able, we are ready to mar­shall the resources and strate­gies to best rep­re­sent our clients in that arena.

We take a proac­tive approach to prac­tic­ing law, which means that we try to iden­tify prob­lems and resolve them before they rise to the level of lit­i­ga­tion.  Where appro­pri­ate, we encour­age achiev­ing set­tle­ment as early as pos­si­ble through nego­ti­a­tion, medi­a­tion or another alter­na­tive dis­pute res­o­lu­tion process. Unfor­tu­nately, some­times there is no option but to pur­sue lit­i­ga­tion.  We are expe­ri­enced at lit­i­ga­tion, hav­ing han­dled cases at the trial and appel­late lev­els.
